Appetizer: Serves 6
250 grams cream cheese
250 grams mascarpone
1 small red onion, chopped
¼ pound Alaskan smoked salmon, broken into small chunks
- Blend together the cream cheese and mascarpone until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in chopped onion, salmon chunks and capers (if using).
- Serve with fresh focaccia bread, toasted bread or your favorite crackers.
* You can always make this recipe only using cream cheese, but my father found that the mascarpone gives the dip a wonderfully, creamy texture. You can also add more salmon.
